SILK MOHAIR
Our super soft hand-dyed Silk Mohair contains 72% kid mohair and 28% silk and has a yardage of 420 metres/50g.
Kid mohair is hair from the very first shearing of the mohair goat, which is the absolute finest and softest. The silk contributes shine and strength and takes the color absolutely fantastically.
Silk Mohair is often knitted together with another strand of yarn to obtain a fluffy and luxurius texture. But it can also easily be knitted alone or held double.
The yarn is excellent for scarves, shawls and clothing and much more.
It can be knitted on different sized knitting needles. For example, knit a sweater with needles size 2.5 for a luxurious, beautiful, and fine result, or knit an airy and soft shawl with a lace pattern using needles size 5 mm.
