ORGANIC MERINO 166
Our super soft “Organic merino 166” consists of 100% non-superwashed organic merino, and has a yardage of 166 meters/100g.
The organic merino wool comes from Uruguay, which is one of the world leaders in the breeding of organic merino sheep. The wool is subsequently spun in Peru.
Organic merino sheeps are fed exclusively with organic feed that is not sprayed with pesticides and is NON-GMO. The sheep are on pasture their whole life.
The wool is only washed prior to spinning and otherwise not further treated, which preserves the wool’s fine properties (water and dirt repellent, self-cleaning, etc.).
This quality is incredibly soft and absolutely “non-scratchy” and can be advantageously used for children’s and baby knitting.
The yarn can be used for a wide range of projects; clothing, various accessories, children’s and baby knitwear and much more.
We recommend knitting needles 5 – 7 mm.
Read more about how we recommend that you knit with hand-dyed yarn HERE.
OBS. Please note that the yarn is hand-dyed and dyed in small batches. The colors may vary.
