FAT MOHAIR
Fat Mohair is our lovely hand-dyed, brushed mohair. This yarn quality has been one of our best-selling yarns over the years, and not without reason.
Fat Mohair consists of 78% kid mohair, 13% non-superwashed merino, 9% nylon, and has a yardage of 200 metres/100g.
Mohair comes from the mohair goat, and kid mohair is hair from the mohair goat’s very first shearing, which is clearly the softest. This, combined with the 13% merino, makes the yarn incredibly soft.
After spinning, the yarn is brushed/scratched up, which gives the lovely hairy/soft yarn.
This yarn can be used to knit everything from sweaters, hats, mittens, scarves, and much more.
We typically knit Fat Mohair on a 6-10 mm knitting needle, but it can also be easily knitted on knitting needles up to 12-15 mm, which gives a knitted product that is very light and airy.

NOTE: Please note that the yarn is hand-dyed and dyed in small batches. The colors may vary.
