ALPACA LINEN
Our ‘Alpaca Linen’ consists of 80% superfine “easy wash” alpaca and 20% linen and has a yardage of 400 meters/100g.
The alpaca fibers have undergone a new process called “easy wash” before spinning. This is an enzyme treatment that takes place in a closed system, so no wastewater is discharged. The “easy wash” treatment is used instead of the traditional superwash treatment. The “easy wash” treatment ensures that the yarn does not shrink or felt when washed.
Additionally, 20% linen has been added during spinning, which contributes to durability.
The above makes Alpaca Linen very suitable for knitting socks, as well as other knitting projects that you may want to wash in a washing machine.
Alpaca Linen is soft enough for children’s and baby knitting.
We recommend Alpaca Linen for socks, baby/children’s knitting, garments, and accessories.
