WOOLLY MERINO 250

Our “Woolly merino 250” consists of 100% merino with a yardage of 250 meters/100g.
“Woolly Merino 250” differs from our other qualities in that it is “woolen spun”.
Before the fibers are spun into yarn, they are usually “carded/combed”, that is, the wool is combed so that the fibers face the same direction, which gives a smooth and uniform yarn, this is called “worsted spun” yarn. Most of our yarns are worsted spun. But our “Woolly Merino 250” is, on the other hand, “spun woolen”. This means that the fibers are not carded before spinning, and thus the fibers turn in different directions. This gives a yarn with a lot of small pockets of air, which makes the yarn both incredibly light and insulates well.
The yarn is soft, delicious and airy and can be used for clothing, accessories, blankets and much more.
The wool is only washed prior to spinning and otherwise not further treated, which preserves the wool’s fine properties (water and dirt repellent, self-cleaning, etc.).
We recommend knitting needles 4 – 6 mm.
