Finally, it happened … our new website/webshop is live.
Among other things, we have several new yarn qualities:
- Organic Highland Wool 350: Our “Organic Highland Wool 350” consists of 100% organic Highland wool and has a running length of 350 meters/100g.
The wool comes from sheep living in the Peruvian highlands and is a blend of merino and corridale. The merino part provides fantastic softness, and corridale adds strength, shine, and elasticity. The wool is also spun in Peru, which means a relatively short transport distance and a limited climate footprint.
The wool is only washed before spinning and not further treated, preserving its fine properties (water and dirt-repellent, self-cleaning, and more).
Organic sheep are fed exclusively with organic feed that is not sprayed with pesticides and is non-GMO.
The wool is soft, glossy, and elastic—perfect for almost any knitting project.
We recommend knitting needles size 3-4.5 mm. Find it HERE.

- Suri Alpaca/Silk Light: Our “Suri Alpaca/Silk Light” consists of 74% baby suri alpaca and 26% mulberry silk and has a running length of 300 meters/50g. There are two types of alpaca: suri and huacaya. Suri alpaca is rarer and makes up about 5% of the alpaca population. The hair from suri alpaca is longer and more shiny. Alpaca wool is described as soft as cashmere, warmer than sheep’s wool, and with the shine of silk. Baby suri alpaca refers to wool from the alpaca’s very first shearing, which is the finest and softest. Mulberry silk is the term for “cultivated” silkworms that are fed with leaves from the mulberry tree, and the silk comes from the cocoon of the silkworm pupa. This combination of baby suri alpaca and mulberry silk creates a yarn that is incredibly soft, shiny, and luxurious— a joy to knit with. “Suri Alpaca/Silk Light” can be knitted alone for soft, airy knitting projects or used as a companion thread.

- Organic Merino 300: Our “Organic Merino 300” consists of 100% non-superwashed organic merino and has a running length of 300 meters/100g.
The organic merino wool comes from Uruguay, one of the world’s leaders in organic merino sheep breeding. The wool is then spun in Peru.
Organic merino sheep are fed exclusively with organic feed that is not sprayed with pesticides and is non-GMO. The sheep graze throughout their lives.
The wool is only washed before spinning and not further treated, preserving its fine properties (water and dirt-repellent, self-cleaning, and more).
“Organic Merino 300” is incredibly soft and absolutely non-scratchy, making it suitable for children’s and baby knitting projects.

- Bulky Shetland Wool: We have chosen to carry this lovely undyed Shetland wool because we think the four natural colors are absolutely fantastic. The wool is minimally processed, has a delightful natural sheep scent, and is, of course, non-superwashed. The wool is grown and spun in England. The yarn is single-ply but spun loosely enough not to “pull skew” when knitting. “Bulky Shetland Wool” is excellent for thick, cozy sweaters, as well as hats, scarves, mittens, blankets, and more. Furthermore, “Bulky Shetland Wool” is also suitable for knitted products that you want to felt afterward. We recommend knitting needles size 8-15 mm. Find it HERE.
We continue to focus on untreated wool, always non-superwashed, and preferably organic.
