We dye all yarn ourselves in small batches in our workshop in Bælum, North Jutland – always with respect for materials, colors and the environment.

With us you will find a wide selection of non-superwash treated yarn, dyed with great love for the play of colors and the natural character of the fiber.

Our yarn is ideal for shawls, sweaters, accessories and much more – and all yarn is dyed to order, so you get freshly dyed yarn sent to your home quickly.

At handdyed.dk we only dye selected, high-quality, non-superwash treated yarns – many with organic certification, recycled material or natural fibers with unique properties. Click here to see all our yarns.

We think about the environment

All yarns are dyed in small batches with acid dyes and with consideration for the environment: We use solar energy in production, recycle dye water, and all our dyeing is done without superwash treatment, so that the natural properties of the fibers are preserved.

Knitting patterns designed for our own yarn qualities

We design knitting patterns ourselves that perfectly match our own yarns – both in structure and color choice. You will find patterns in PDF format that you can download immediately, and that are suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced knitters.
